Curtis A. Martin
Founder and President of FOCUS
Curtis
Martin is the president and founder of FOCUS, one of the fastest
growing, most dynamic movements in the Catholic Church. Whether
he is on college campuses or television, at a conference or working
with corporate America, Curtis is an award-winning speaker who uses
humor, stories, and his own captivating life experiences to communicate
how faith in God is lived out in everyday life. He equips people
with the tools to discover the fullness of life and happiness beyond
imagination. Curtis holds a Masters degree in Theology and is a
co-author of Boys to Men: The Transforming Power of Virtue and Family
Matters: A Scripture Study on Marriage and Family as well as a
contributing author of Catholic for a Reason, vol. I, II, and
III. Curtis has written articles for a number of Catholic
publications and organizations, and was awarded the inaugural
Excellence in Evangelization award by Envoy magazine. Most recently he
was awarded the “2006 John Lancaster Spalding Award” from the Diocese
of Peoria. He and his wife Michaelann host the EWTN television series
Family Matters. Curtis and Michaelann live in Greeley, Colorado
with their seven children.
Craig A. Miller
Executive Vice President of FOCUS
Craig
Miller is the executive vice president of FOCUS and co-chairman of the
board of the Augustine Institute. He received his MBA from Golden
Gate University and has worked for 17 years in technology sales and
marketing and six years in non-profit management. His recent
positions include President of the Aspen Center for Autism and founding
partner of Cana Communications. He also serves on the boards of
FOCUS, Glory Community, and the Aspen Center for Autism. Craig,
his wife, and their six children reside in the Denver area.
Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap.

Archbishop
Charles J. Chaput joined the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, St.
Augustine Province in 1965. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in
Philosophy from St. Fidelis College Seminary in Herman, Pennsylvania,
Archbishop Chaput completed Studies in Psychology at Catholic
University in Washington D.C, in 1969, and earned a Master of Arts in
Religious Education from Capuchin College in Washington D.C. in
1970. He was ordained to the priesthood on August 29, 1970.
Archbishop Chaput received a Master of Arts in Theology from the
University of San Francisco in 1971. He served as an instructor in
theology and spiritual director at St. Fidelis from 1971-1974 and as
executive secretary and director of communications for the Capuchin
Province of St. Augustine in Pittsburgh from 1974-1977. In 1977,
Archbishop Chaput became pastor of Holy Cross Parish in Thornton,
Colorado, and vicar provincial for the Capuchin Province of
Mid-America. Archbishop Chaput was ordained Bishop of Rapid City,
South Dakota, on July 26, 1988. Pope John Paul II appointed him
Archbishop of Denver on February 18, 1997.
Mrs. Carol Saeman
Owner, Medallion Enterprises, LLC
Carol
Saeman has been involved in social justice issues worldwide, promoting
natural family planning, Catholic education, and fighting homelessness
and pornography. Currently, Mrs. Saeman serves on the Board of
Directors of Saint John Vianney Seminary, Legatus Board of Governors,
Nurturing Network, and the Fellowship of Catholic University Students
and was proclaimed a Steward of St. Peter by the Papal Foundation. Mrs.
Saeman and her husband John were inducted into the Order of the Knights
of St. Gregory the Great in February of 2005 and were honored with the
Imago Dei Award by the Archdiocese of Denver in 2006. She
received an honorary Doctorate from Loras College in October, 1997 and
an honorary Doctorate in Public Service from Regis University of
Denver. The Saeman family has formed the Saeman Family
Foundation, Inc., which primarily serves philanthropic endeavors in
support of the Catholic Church. Carol and John own Medallion
Enterprises, LLC, an investment entity located in Denver, Colorado.
They have three children and 11 grandchildren.
Mrs. Katherine M. Manak
CPA, Chief Financial Officer of FOCUS
Katherine
Manak is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the states of
California and Virginia. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Business Administration and French from Notre Dame de Namur University
in Belmont, California. Mrs. Manak has over twenty years of
accounting and finance experience, which includes public accounting,
corporate accounting, government accounting, and not-for-profit
accounting. She lives in Greeley, Colorado.
Mark Ryland
Chief Technology Officer of Mpower Media
Mark
Ryland has professional experience in a variety of fields, including
law and public policy; software and network architecture; and science
and philosophy. He received his B.A. in philosophy from the
University of San Diego in 1983 and a law degree from the Boalt Hall
School of Law at U.C. Berkeley in 1986. After working as an
attorney for a private law firm in Washington D.C., he worked for
Microsoft Corporation from 1991-2000. He currently serves as the
chief technology officer of Mpower Media, a family-beneficial
entertainment company. He has been involved in the founding and
leadership of various national think-tanks focused on philosophy and
public policy. Mr. Ryland serves on the board of directors for
the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS); Thomas Aquinas
College in Santa Paula, California; and the International Theological
Institute in Austria. He is on the board of advisors to several
other organizations, including the School of Philosophy of the Catholic
University of America, and Thomas International, a new international
fellowship of scholars working in the tradition of St. Thomas Aquinas.
Mark, his wife Katy, and their children live in Great Falls,
Virginia.
Monsignor Andrew Baker
Serves with the Congregation for Bishops
Monsignor
Baker graduated from Saint Charles Seminary (Philadelphia) and was
ordained on June 1, 1991 as a priest for the Diocese of Allentown. He
was sent for further theological studies to the University of Navarre
(Pamplona, Spain) and the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross
(Rome, Italy) where he earned a doctorate in Moral Theology in
1997. As a priest he has served as parochial vicar, university
chaplain, high school teacher, seminary professor and, in 2001, he
returned to Rome to become an official at the Congregation for Bishops
where he presently serves. Msgr. Baker is also a visiting professor at
the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), visiting
professor at Christendom College Rome Campus, and chaplain for the
Notre Dame University students in the School of Architecture and those
in the semester abroad program in Rome.

Mr. Joe Wurtz

Joe
Wurtz served at Benedictine College in Atchison, KS as a part-time
missionary during the 1998 and 1999 school years. He then served as
Campus Director at the University of Denver during the 2000-2001 school
year. Before joining FOCUS staff, Joe was a FOCUS student leader at
Benedictine College. Joe currently serves as the Dean of Students at
Christendom College in Front Royal, VA. Joe and his wife Megan
(Monahan) met as missionaries with FOCUS.
Glory Sullivan
President, Sullivan Foundation
Gloria
Sullivan is a graduate of Georgetown Visitation College in Washington,
D.C. After beginning her career with the Prudential Insurance
Company, she was a founder, senior vice president, and board member of
Government Institutes, Inc. She was also the president and board
member of Four Research Place Corporation and founder and member of the
board of the Sullivan Foundation. She is a member of the Order of
the Malta, the Order of the Holy Sepulcher, and Legatus. Currently, she
is a member of the Board of Trustees of the new Ave Maria University,
Naples, Florida. Since her retirement from Government Institutes,
she has devoted her time to Catholic charitable and educational works
in Asia, and Central and South America, and particularly those to whom
support has been given by the Tom & Glory Sullivan
Foundation. The Sullivans are members of Our Lady Star of the Sea
parish in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida in the Diocese of St. Augustine
and continue to be active in the Archdiocese of Washington,
particularly at St. Raphael Parish in Rockville, Maryland. She
and her husband, Thomas, have raised three children and have seven
grandchildren.
